Anna Journey serves as Associate Editor for Blackbird, an online journal of literature and the arts. She is a recipient of the Catherine and Joan Byrne Poetry Prize from the Academy of American Poets. Additionally, she’s received the Graduate Poetry Award from VCU, where she is currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing. Her poetry appears in Millenium Magazine, earning the publication’s annual award for Best Poetry in 2004. Her critical work appears in Blackbird.
Her poem, “Sappho on the Edge of the Bayou,” appeared in Issue 18.1 – Winter/Spring 2005.
