Anthony Cook grew up in the river town of Cincinnati and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in English literature. After teaching English in China for a summer, he worked as a journalist for five years, most recently at the Las Vegas Sun, where he covered government and politics. He is now an MFA candidate in Purdue University’s creative writing program, where he is working on a short story collection and a novel. He lives in Lafayette, Indiana, with his wife, Heather.
