DONALD RAY POLLOCKĀ is the author of Knockemstiff, a collection of linked short stories, which was awarded the PEN/Robert Bingham Fellowship for a debut work of fiction as well as the 2009 Devil’s Kitchen Award in Prose. The book spans over thirty years – from the mid-sixties to the late nineties – and features a cast of unforgettable characters all tied to the small town of Knockemstiff, Ohio. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in The New York Times, Third Coast, The Journal, Sou’wester, and Chiron Review, among others.Pollock is a graduate of the MFA Program at Ohio State University and lives in Chillicothe, Ohio with his wife.
