KERRY JONES

KERRY JONES was born and raised in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. She received her MFA from Wichita State University, where she now teaches. She is the 2002 Richard Yates Short Story Award winner and her collection The Ghosts in the Glen was a finalist for the 2008 Flannery O’Connor Short Fiction Award. “The Last Innocent Year” is the title piece of her second collection. Her work has appeared in many journals, including Night Train, The Rambler, Orchid, and The Bryant Literary Review. She has written two novels: Dime Store Rita and Hymns at Candlemas.

“The Last Innocent Year” was a runner-up for Sycamore Review‘s 2010 Wabash Prize for Fiction. It appeared in Issue 22.2-Summer/Fall 2010.
