Mary Elizabeth Pope is an assistant professor of English at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. Her short stories and essays have appeared in various books and journals including Fugue, Clackamas Literary Review, and The Language Arts Journal of Michigan, as well as the anthologies The Fourth Genre: Contemporary Writers of/on Creative Nonfiction (Longman, 2003) and Peninsula: Essays and Memoirs from Michigan (Michigan State University Press, 2000).
