MICHELE POULOS’s poems and fiction have appeared in Crab Orchard Review, Copper Nickel, Miracle Monocle, and other journals. Her book reviews appear in Blackbird. She was a finalist for the 2008 Charles Johnson Student Fiction Award. She is a two-time nominee for inclusion in the anthology Best New American Voices (Harvest Books, 2008 and 2009). She teaches English at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Her poem, “Ausschusskinder: the garbage children,” appeared in Issue 22.2-Summer/Fall 2010.
