PATRICIA ENGEL’s stories have appeared or are forthcoming in The Atlantic, Boston Review, Guernica, Harpur Palate, Nimrod, Slice Magazine, Quarterly West, and other journals. She has received awards including the Boston Review Fiction Prize, a Florida Artist Fellowship in Literature, scholarships from Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference, Key West Literary Seminar, and Hedgebrook among others. Her debut short story collection, Vida, will be published in 2010.
